好简历是你成功的一半

如何写出好简历 (包括申请信)
简历概述:
关于怎样写简历的指导书籍很多,大家不妨多多参考。我这里把简历的类型和写法大致罗列一下,提醒大家注意一些不易表达清楚的地方。
简历的定义:
简历其实就是对你自己简短的描述,说明你是哪儿的人、做过那些事,也可以说简历是你自己给自己做广告。当然引起他人注意的广告或者说有说服力、有冲击力的广告是你求职成功的第一步。
简历的长度:
程序员一般以2-3页纸为宜。高级研发人员一般不超过4页。CEO等高级行政管理人员当然不在此列。
简历的原则:
简单明了,针对性强(To be concise and to the point)。给中介公司的简历则应尽量将关键字词列在上面。
简历的类型:
1. 按时间顺序排列(Chronological)
2. 按功能分类写(Functional)
1.按时间顺序写
这是最常见的写法。但请注意时间顺序实际是按倒序排列的。 这种简历用于强调你的工作经验,年纪大经验多的人比较适合。
2.按功能分类写
这是一种按技能和重要性列出工作经验的格式。这种简历强调你的能力,年轻人比较适合。
3.传统简历(Traditional)
4.电子简历(Electronic. TXT/RTF)。
履历和简历(CV vs Resume)有何不同:
CV is much lengthier than a resume and emphasize your credentials and education. They usually follow very narrow guidelines and are very detailed. Published works are cited and seminars presented are also included. Employers are particularly interested in Education, Associations and Societies, Innovations, Product Launches, Published papers, Business Development, Globalization, Presentations, Research and Development, Software Skills. Educators, doctors, health care professionals, presenters, scientists and people abroad would use a curriculum vitae. International Vita will vary slightly.
简历的重要性:
现在的雇主非常重视简历,人事部门收到一份简历后,一般会保存半年到一年。只要有空缺,他们会查看已经收到的简历。而加拿大人重视简历和推荐信的程度有时让人觉得荒唐。然而这个社会就是这么重视简历,这是现实,不可改变,至少眼下是这样。况且他有它的道理。
简历的可信度:
加拿大人相信你在简历上写明的一切。他们在雇佣你之前不会查证你的材料。假如你做CONSULTANT,那么你甚至有机会编一个大谎。假如你做雇员,那么进入公司以后,人事部门有权向你索取各种文凭证书并保留复印件。
简历不必写什么:
加拿大的求职简历不是"向组织交代",一切有关个人的隐私不必列上,比如种族、出身、性别、年龄、婚姻状况、社会保险号等等。出版、学术会议也不一定写上(不包括申请科研单位职位)。
简历的写法因人而异,但必须简洁明了。你的简历是你的门面,自然是专门概括描述你的,并不是别的任何人。这就是为什么随便用"简历样板"、甚至"简历软件"不能保证写出好简历的原因。你的整体能力、你的性格、你的风格都应该反映在你的简历中。
写简历应注意如下几点:
1、写给谁看?
2、他(她)喜欢看什么?
3、言简意赅、段落清晰、易读易记;
4、有内容、有深度、有风格;
5、简历必须整洁,否则很容易被人忽略,涂涂抹抹、皱皱巴巴是很糟糕的,会给雇主留下坏印象。对雇主来讲,邋遢的简历意味着邋遢的雇员。
6、打印多份,甚至十几份,几十份,以备用。
从现在起,请准备你的简历,并随时更新。去求职的时候,一定要带上简历,并留在哪里一份。
简历样本:A chronological resume & A functional resume
简历主要内容:
Personal information: Put down your name, address, and telephone number, just as in the samples.
Work experience (chronological resume): List all the jobs you ve ever had, starting with the most recent. You can follow the style used on the previous page date of employment, position, name of company and address.
Skills and experience (functional resume): If you are using a functional resume, list each of your skills with examples of work you have done when you ve used those skills.
Employment (functional resume): List the date of employment, position, and name of company.
Education: List the last year you went to school and what grade you completed, the name and address of the school, and any awards you received.
Training and Certificates: List all the training and certificates you have got.
References: List three people who would say good things about you if the employer phoned and asked. Don t use relatives or friends. Teachers, school counselors, and former employers make the best references. Put down their names, jobs, places of employment, and their phone numbers. But remember, if you re going to use someone as a reference, ask that person first.

1. On a separate sheet of paper,
On your resume under the heading REFERENCES, indicate Available upon request.
2. Put the REFERENCES as the last section of your resume. List names.
写好简历后,最好请别人帮你看一下,以免遗漏或错误。
假如你的推荐人名单是另写的,记住面试的时候一定要带上。
简历十大忌讳:
1、拷贝别人的简历格式(刚毕业/5年经验)
2、不写日期(只列公司,不列日期)
3、只有事实,没有表现(Responsibilities/Accomplishment/Your own role)
4、工作经历太乱(换行业比模特换衣服还快/分组)
5、怨恨字

7、太多不相关经历(只有你的家人才会关心你大学以前的事情)

9、没有适当的目标(着急找工作并不表示应该广种薄收)
